Big Bang’s Alive in Shanghai – tickets sold at 1,500 USD by scalpers
As part of Big Bang’s Alive Galaxy World Tour, Big Bang set their foot on China for the first time 2 days ago. One hour after their concert in Shanghai started, there were still as many as 2,000 fans who did not have a ticket waiting outside the venue. The price for the VIP ticket even reached 10,000 RMB (1566 USD). The fans sang both the new and old songs with the group. Members also practiced their Chinese beforehand. The one who spoke Chinese most was Seungri who was teased by the fans because they said his accent sound Cantonese.
Before the show started, the atmosphere outside the venue was already hyped up. While waiting to get into the venue, fans sang Big Bang’s songs together. There were also fans who came from other places to watch the concert so they were seen carrying their suitcases. However, there were also fans who could not buy the tickets gathering in front of the venue. Before the show started, the scalping tickets were priced at 10,000 RMB (1566 USD). Charlene of Twins (famous duet group in Hong Kong) and OD (famous star in Taiwan) also went there to watch Big Bang’s concert. Charlene expressed her excitement through her personal Weibo.
On that night, it din not matter whether Big Bang was singing ‘Haru Haru’, ‘Lies’ or their new songs like ‘Fantastic Baby’, all the fans there sang with them. They also held the official crown light sticks to cheer for them. When they were singing ‘Blue’ and ‘Monster’, fans then used their blue and red light sticks to make the name of the members and songs. This act touched Big Bang so they expressed their gratefulness in Chinese, “This is a piece of a beautiful memory.” Seungri was responsible in communicating with the fans so he spoke a lot in Chinese, “I am so happy that I am in Shanghai. I love you. I am so excited now. Put your hands up. Shanghai is cute. Thank you, everyone. I wish you happiness every day.” Then, he sang ‘Tian Mi Mi’ in Chinese which G-Dragon thought was so hilarious that he could not hold back his laughter. There were fans who teased Seungri’s Mandarin, saying his accent sounds Cantonese. On the other hand, T.O.P raised his little pinky making a promise with the fans that they would go to Shanghai again. He also blew kisses. After the concert,G-Dragon and Seungri expressed their feelings via social networking websites, saying it was really a memorable concert.
Big Bang returned to Korea yesterday. G-Dragon and Taeyang were skating when they arrived at the airport’s arrival hall. They will go to Guangzhou on 28th and Beijing on 4th to have the other two concerts. They will go to Hong Kong in December, too.

Big Bang whips over 10,000 Chinese fans into a frenzy
Boy group Big Bang recently held their first Chinese concert successfully.
On July 22, Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, said that the group held the ‘Alive Galaxy Tour 2012′ concert at Mercedes-Benz Arena in China on July 21 at 7:30 in the evening (local time) and made over 10,000 fans go wild.
Big Bang visited China for the first time in the six years since their debut. They wore luxurious opening costumes and performed “Still Alive,” “Tonight,” and “Hands Up.”
The group sang their hit songs, including, “Heaven” and “Monster” and each member also gave individual performances, which made the concert more enjoyable. Seungri sang Teresa Teng’s “Tian Mi Mi,” which is a beloved song in Chinese-speaking countries, and received big cheers from the audience.
According to the agency, Big Bang members tried to communicate with the Chinese fans while performing twenty-three songs at the concert.
A spokesperson for the agency says, “Big Bang gave three encores after the concert. But the Chinese fans didn’t leave the arena for a long time and cried out for the group and more encores.”
“Tickets for the concert sold out and fans who couldn’t get tickets gathered outside of the arena to join the concert.”
Big Bang will invite over 30,000 people in total by holding concerts on July 21 in Shanghai, on July 28 in Guangzhou, and on August 4 in Beijing.
